Default How do i leave?

Alright, let me say I read rickets posts and he is totally correct. If you all sit back you will see that he is right and that you are with him.

When I hear crazy in love every 30 mins or so on US-1 , switch to Hot Jamz , hear it 5 mins after I switch, then switch to the pulse and hear Josh Kelly 4 times in 2 hours. There is something really wrong here.

So now everyones going to tell me to go to xm. Well I have a question. Is there a way to get out of paying the ETF fee?

Let me say, when I signed up I thought I was paying on a monthly basis. However I got a year charge, so I must have screwed that up.

The problem here is that I want my money back + I dont want to pay an ETF. I think that if it was that easy MANY people would be on their way to XM just like I would be.

Why ? Because I am paying for a radio service....and I'm getting ClearChannel programming. I drive an hour home everyday, and I switch streams every 3 mins cuz of awful songs. I even sat there yesterday going threw EVERY channel.

The "Programming" that once was the better aspect of sirius is gone.

If I cant get my cash back and not pay an etf i will sit here and wait out the year and take it. However, when my contract runs out. I'm gone, im sure alot of others will be too, unless Sirius gets away from the "Z100" style radio.

Write Sirius a letter explaining your dissatisfaction with the service, along with your wishes to end your contract. They may ask you to mail the hardware back to them.

Sorry you aren't happy with the service. I listen to all of the streams you mention and they're pretty good. Not perfect, but still well worth having the service. After all, these are hit formats. You might be more pleased if you were to expand your listening selection.

Good thing you are moving from US-1 and The Pulse over to KIIS and MIX because you can't stand Clear Channel Programming.

I listen to Movin' Easy, Heart and Soul and the 70s channel mostly. I hear repeats, but not at the frequency mentioned above. I also have XM and hear repeats on their channels also. But even with the repeats, Sirius (and XM) are 100% better than FM because we are not bombarded with all the COMMERCIALS!!

j3ff, I certainly think you have a right to your opinion. But I didn't agree with Rickets and I don't agree with you either. For the life of me I don't understand why with 60 streams of music, you folks choose to limit your listening to just a few streams. If you switch a lot, you will sometimes find that the other streams are playing the same songs. But I do not believe you heard the same song 4 times in two hours on a single stream, I believe that is an exaggeration.

There is no doubt that SIRIUS has issues with repeats, but there is honestly no need to exaggerate to get your point across. I also agree with Jeff write SIRIUS and tell them your feelings, but I suggest you leave the exaggerations out.

XM does have repeats and they also have Clear Channel that programs some of their channels, so good luck! No, I am not going to tell you to go to XM, but if you think its programming lines up better with your preferrences, then by all means it would the logical choice to make. I find there is good and bad on both services, but I still find them both to be better than FM/AM and I very much so enjoy them.

That's an easy one to answer, some people just don't like the other channels. Rock bores me to tears. Likewise for Jazz, Classical and the talk channels. That narrows things down dramatically. All I really care to listen to is dance, electronica and 80's. So, 90% of the time i'm between channels 62-66 or on channel 8. I peek at the others sometimes but usually get bored very fast.

Dab -

There is a bigger problem if you siriusly can not grasp the concept that people listen to what they want to listen to, and if they don't want to listen to music they are not into, they wont.

I'm into newwer rock, so why would i care to listen to a pop station, or a rap station, or even a classic rock station? The answer is: I wouldn't.

Telling people to listen to other streams is such a cop out.

I was just like you guys, stuck into one or two genre's. The point is that SIRIUS has allowed me to expand my horizons. But it seems you guys have decided to close yourself off, so there isn't much anyone can do about that.

My favorite thing about SIRIUS now is the VARIETY!! So, if that is a cop out so be it. But I don't think its a cop out at all. Now that I look back at Sat Radio, its simply not worth it for a few streams at least not to me. So, I would not have gotten it if I was not willing to expand out my listening habits. You guys are stuck paying for all these streams and listening to just a few. Then those few you aren't happy with. I can't say for sure, but perhaps you'd be better served with your CD's MP3's and perhaps FM. Why pay for something you hate so darn much? That doesn't even make good common sense. By George, get rid of it and move on with your lives.

I agree with Dab. I used to only be interested in 70s music. But then with all the hours I spent listening to satellite radio both at work and at home, I decided to turn on the other channels and at least see what they had to offer. After all, what did I have to lose. After giving the other channels a chance, I have come to the conclusion that the other genres of music are not bad -- as a matter of fact, quite enjoyable. I now listen to Movin' Easy, the country channels, the R&B channels, 80s channel and once in a while the Jazz channels. I am not suggesting that someone stick with the service if they are not happy, if your not satisfied, by all means cancel it, but try something else because you may like it.

My BIGGEST complaint, and I ain't kidding, is I can only listen to one stream at a time. If I had XM, my problems would multiply.

If you go through life looking for sour experiences, you will find plenty of them.

Look for the good.

Honest.

I gotta say that since picking up my ROADY, I havent had to get up and change the station in disgust from hearing the same song for the third time that day on Ethel.

So maybe, since i'm happier over all, I'll post sunshine from now on here.

I thought it was funny yesterday and flipped through 10 stream (prox) and saw 4 variation of Simon/Garfunkle/Simon&Garfunkle. My co-workers that I was giving the demo to have nicknamed my radio and the "Simon and Garfunkle Network."

At the same time we also saw 3 Doors down playing on 2 channels, but they were different songs so that does not count.
