It is a Sirius owned design from my understanding, but It is manufactured by the same company that makes the Brix Streamer.

On a side note on contacting Brix (Pana-Pacific) regarding the warranty. If you have not already spoken with tech support with Brix previously you will need to do so first before the warranty dept. can fully assist you. To get in touch with Brix technical support you can call 866-787-1810.

The Orbitor is almost identical to the Brix streamer with only minor differences. From everything that I have gathered the orbitor is no longer supported by RadioShack. It is possible to use the Orbitor with the various streamer products and they should work but sirius nor brix labs can guarantee that the equipment will work togeather because once the equipment leaves the factory there are alterations that can and are made by the various distributers. Per Sirius product support I was advised that in order to recieve any warranty or product support you would need to contact RadioShack at 800-843-2528.

The DISH network number is incorrect, they are of no help. Call Sirius directly at 888-539-7474. The DISH SR200 has been discontinued, you have your pick of the litter on which unit you want to replace it.

I do believe that is made directly by sirius but your warranty is normally dependant on where you purchased the equipment as it is distributed by several different companys.

Sirius now has their own In-Warranty support team. This is only for mechanical in-warranty issues that warrants an exchange.

This number is 1-866-257-7726 with hours of operation being Monday thru Saturdays 8am to 10pm EST. They do only handle a handlfull of models - the sportster, sportster R, Starmate, Starmate R,Sportster Boom Box, Starbase and the soon to be S50 aka Xena.

The FINE print on every warranty out there is basically this:
IF you purchased it from Radio Shack, Radio Shack is 100% responsible for the entire 1 year warranty from date of purchase/activation.

For the above listed models, within the first 30 days of purchase you will need to take it back to where you purchased it for an exchange. Sirius in warranty only picks up your account on the 31st day of activation.

I can also tell you that the Product Support is being outsourced as well as the above department.

Most of the numbers posted for the Manufactuerers are correct with the exception of the Dish Network - yes, it has been discontinued, and NO you do NOT get pick of the liter on replacing it unless someone at Echostar aka Dish decides to give you something that do not even have - in fact the Sirius in warranty department will NOT even have your account to replace it with. And Dish Network is useless to call, the only Dish Network radios that will be replaced will have just been activated in December 2005 and is the Sirius One model. The others are all discontinued and really, there is nowhere to call for replacement help.

Product Support is now (as in just started) replacing DISH receivers. Call (or ask Sirius to transfer you to) them and they do the replacement. It takes about 4 weeks.
