Default Switching from XM Commander to Starbase Install Questions

I installed the XM Commander and used it for 2 months before deactivating it. After such a dissapointing experience with XM, I wrote off all satellite radio. Then my wife and I bought a car with Sirius installed. With a year free, I figured I would give it a shot. Long story short, I have a new Starbase to replace the Commander in my car.

The units are very similar. I did the install of the Commander in my car. I soldered the power/ground wires and I really don't want to go through all that again. Removing the Tuner, Antenna, and Control Unit will be no problem. It appears that the power plug for the Commander will work just fine for the Starbase but can anyone confirm that 100%? I can't find the install instructions for the Commander and I haven't had the time to take apart my car again to check it out so I was hoping someone here has done the same and can verify this for me.

Thanks...

I don't know much about the commander, but most of XM's equipment is 6 volts and Sirius equipment is 12 volt. I don't think I'd trust that power connection. I looked on Crutchfield's site because sometimes they have manuals for these things, but I can't confirm or deny if the commander is 6 or 12 volts. But out of caution, I'd change out that power.
