Default Antenna and window issue....what could I do?

Well I have an antenna issue. Actually it is the window causing the issue. My antenna...its a car antenna (magnetic mount) goes out my window and sits on the outside.

Now I have been having a problem with ANTENNA NOT DETECTED mesages popping up. Well I close the window shut on the antenna wire and I think this is causing it. It is a type of window where the handle is at the top and it comes open twoards you. Anyway I've tried to put the wire in differant spots and I think the windw is just closing to hard on the cable. If I open the window and straighten the whole cable out it works fine.

Any ideas on how I could do this?

thanks

You could try placing the wire in the window on a 45 degree angle instead of having the wire go through on a 90 degree angle. In other words, don't have the wire go directly to the window but instead, have it go at a diagonal angle or closer to being parallel with the window and see if that does it. I use that trick with my windows and it seems to work. Good luck.
