Default '04 Acura TSX (Kenwood KCA-R70FM install)

I did this some time back to the wife's ride, not sure if I ever posted pics..

did a little bit of work to get the Din plate & controller to fit in the dash CD cubby pocket. If you remove the rubber pads from the door it will close and open as OE.

Again antenna in the car, no drop outs.

I secured the FM mod. under the seat and have since hidden all of the wires for a neat an clean look. With the seat in the normal driver position this unit is hidden. Acura was nice enough to even provide a tap in spot behind the cubby pocket for the FM wire, no need to remove the radio-HVAC unit. Thank you Honda! This tap was for the Dealer XM FM mod kit BTW.

used some Autozone Add-A-Circuit MINI's for power, no cutting wires needed.

The Sirius Kenwood 903 tuner is in the trunk, the bus wire for it was hidden under the carpet and trim and run under the rear seat into the trunk. The Kenwood 903 is now replaced by the KEN SIR unit and the KCA-R70FM is now the KCA-R71FM. However, the same install would apply to that gear as well. The dash controller is still the same, however the rest of the gear just got smaller.

The sound quality of this gear is great. No hiss, no buzz, clean clear audio. If you can't remove the OE headunit this is the way to go IMO. Don't dismiss a quality FM modulator hard wire install, it sounds as good as the Headunit direct wire install in my other cars.

An added bonus for me, I had this gear in my old work S10 now since sold. I simply reused this gear for the wife's car. Cost of install was free, sort of.... This is why you won't likely find my exact gear part no.s
