Default FM Modulator and/or FM transmitter?

Okay excuse me for being a rookie with Sat radio but I am thoroughly confused after doing a few days of research and deciding on two different receivers I am interested in. Mainly interested in the Sportster with car kit package.

Now.. confusion you ask?? Well...do I need an FM Modulator as well as the FM transmitter for this to work with my current car stereo??

Or is the car kit all I need?? Of course I would only be getting FM type sound not CD or anything better.

Thanks very much for any input.

If you get a plug and play unit it has the FM modulator in it which then transmits the signal using a certain FM channel through your car radio like 88.1. My plug n play is a JVC SR2000 and it even broadcasts in the house on a boombox upstairs when tuned to the right channel. Since ive taken the antenna off my car it sounds great.

Default Cute

That picture is adorable! I want one as a pet. So the Sportster unit has a modulator built in?? Thus the car kit would work connecting to my current car stereo?

Thanks

Yes it will. However, if you install and you hear some static you can get the SATSWB. This will eliminate any static and you will never have to change the station again.

Go to profile. It's on the bottom. You have to link to a url.
