Default Starmate suction cup window bracket broke

Is this under warranty? It cracked at the tightening screw that attaches to the suction cup mount. It just fell off, was not hit. It was about 95 degrees outside though. I don't know if the heat had anything to do with it.
I purchased the radio-car kit back in March. If not, does anyone know of a place that sells just the mount?

Yes it would be covered under warranty, but you'll have to contact Directed. CMA sells the suction cup window mounts.

What exactly broke? I have a suction cup mount with the top piece missing that I'll never use.

The piece of the bracket that goes onto the screws of the actual suction cup. It just cracked, so now it has no holes for the screw to go into.
I contacted Sirius product support on Friday. They said they never heard of that problem. They are sending me an entire unit (radio, mount and antenna) I will take the part that I need and send back the rest. Seems fair. They took a credit card number just in case they don't get the equipment back.

Mine did the same thing! I have the extended warrenty at CC. I wonder if CC will cover it our should I get in touch with Sirius? I live a couple of hours from CC so just running it over there is alot of trouble.Guess I'll call them.LOL.Looks like the Starmate braket is going to be a problem. I did find a great way to mount my Starmate because of this. Right below the radio in my 95 Mustang conv. is a small opening so I took the home bracket apart and slid in in the dash. Almost looks factory!

**Update**
Took the bracket back to CC and they gave me a new one.
