If you go buy a new HU why would you need the SR2000?

Get this and you'll be all set.

You won't have CD quality sound unless you direct connect to your HU.

Let me know if you have other questions.

It took me 10 minutes to install. When I added this to my system I felt that it sounded better. Others may disagree.

Go to Circuit City, they'll be there. $20.

You will be happier.

Yes, it will work. Bring in your tuner to see if it fits into the FM out just to be sure.

I have the same receiver, had the same static problems. Take the fm antenna off your car! You have satellite radio now, you don't need FM anymore. I did and it solved the static problem. I have it tuned to 88.1 and it comes in great. Best part about it, it doesnt cost money and you can do it yoursel lol. Try that before going to BB.

Just a clarification. You'll never get CD quality. Sirius doesn't advertise CD quality.

A good setup should sound better than FM, but it will never sound as good as a CD.

My husband has the earlier made JVC Sirius radio and he was getting horrible static with the FM Modulator. He tried the tape deck instead and it removed all the static.

Do they have a tape deck option for the JVC SR-2000

Thanks

Thanks :)
The cassette adapter is not model-specific. It works for any receiver. Try your husband's with your unit and you'll see. I use the Sony adapter (with the JVC SR-2000) which CC caries for under $20. Don't cheap out when buying this item. There are less expensive ones but the Sony has proven to be a superior performer.
