My Kenwood 7000S works just fine. I had one situation where I had to unplug it from the wall, then plug it back in and it worked fine.

I've had mine since August and use it almost 10 hours everyday and I haven't had any problems. Their is a known bug about the firmware and the Alarm function (do a search on this forum) but Kenwood will repair that problem for you. I never use the Alarm function anyways.
