Default Has anyone tried two antennas?

Just had a thought yesterday while driving to a meeting.

Would reception improve by connecting two antennas to the radio? My thought would be to connect two antennas together using a Y adapter (if they are available) and then running the one antenna line into the radio.

I have to place my antenna on the dash because of the convertible I drive. Two antennas might help out a lot.

Anybody try this?

Did it.. Doesn't work.. My study concluded that, both antennas basically fight over dominancy. You would need a converter of sorts to merge both signals into one usable one. They will not combine, form voltron and give you superior reception
