You should have the Rb1 like me, and if you do it can be upgraded. You could have the RB4, I am not sure that you get the artist and song title or not.

Red more about both radios at Wj Jeeps

It can be added either which way. I believe the labor time that DCX says it is is about 1.5 hours. Slightly more intesive install than some of the others, but by no means a super hard one either.

The manual says 1.0 hours, for the install kit and tuner or at least it did when I had mine installed. Dealers will try and charge you more, they did with me. I told them nice try, but no thanks.

I installed the RB1 myself, took less than 10 minutes. Dealer wanted an hour for that too.

ok , yes i have the RB1. and i seen a model at the dealer that had the Rb1 working with sirius. my question is . can this install be done without the dealer messing with it ? or it would be better to have the dealership install it? also can i get it cheaper than the dealer somewhere else?
thanks

ok so i just called the dealer and they want $299 for the install kit plus $150 for putting it in. he also said it would take about 2 hours. now i think they are over charging, so there has to be a cheaper alternatiuve than the dealer.

I would call the dealer and tell him that Chysler says that it is a one hour install, why are they saying 2? Call another dealer.

Or you could do it yourself.

I bet the parts numbers are the same. The install is not that tough, I had the dealer do it because I did not have the time.

I had the dealer match the price that I got from another dealer online. There are directions with the install kit, you could even have another stereo shop install it if you like. No wires to cut, everything just plugs in.

I am sure that the directions tell you, the ones that I have seen have the antenna on the roof just above the windsheild.
