Default can the factory installed XM antenna work for Sirius?

Hey,
I am trying to move over to the Sirius nation. My car is a 2005 Honda Accord that comes with XM radio built into the head unit. There is also a AUX input in the rear of the radio which I would like to use to connect Sirius into the head unit so I maintain good sound quality (rather than put it through a FM channel). I plan on using the SNHOND3 Soundgate auxiliary input connector.

My question is will the factory installed XM antenna work if hooked into the Sirius receiver? I have seen both yes and no on the web. I have seen at least twice where people did have sucess using the factory XM antenna (though they were different vehicles...SUV's).

Is anyone able to say for sure if this is possible or not? I wouldn't think these people who say it can work would be making it up...
If it can't work, can you give me some specific info why it can't work?

Thanks. :\

Default

It should work I would imagine if it's the standard SMB type connector, although perhaps not quite as well as a Sirius antenna. I use an XM antenna with my PNP radios all the time in my vehicle as I switch between XM and Sirius depending on my mood.
