Worst case, I listen online, but it'd be nice to use the radio.

I with you there! Mine Starmate Replay was working great at my job, and now no signal, I was thickening maybe it was that storm?

I have just sent an email to Customer Service asking if there's a repeater issue, so if I hear anything back, I'll let ya know.

Same here, still no signal at work. I took my Starmate and antenna home last night just to make sure I didn't have an equipment problem, works just fine.

Thickening? You might want to get that checked out!

Default Phoenix Repeater has problems for sure since 10-18-2005

I have had no problems anywhere in Phoenix since the beginning of September when I subscribed....until Tuesday. The signal from the terrestrial repeater has dropped substantially and is unusable in most places. I live near downtown and can get reception with more dropouts than before at home but further north at work it is now unusable.

Would there only be one repeater in Phoenix, or multiple repeaters? I know how they work in general, but unsure if more than one would be needed to cover x-number of miles. I guess I ask this, because my girlfriend works in downtown Phoenix, and she was getting 7-10 bars on her terrestrial signal. She works on the 16th floor of a high-rise (not sure if height would make a difference), and isn't really close to a window, too.

I'm hoping I come into work Monday, and I magically get a TER signal again. Otherwise, I don't know what I'm gonna do for reception.

I still have a weak signal here.
Everything was perfect until Teusday and I have had a piss poor signal ever since.

I don't know who I have to get ahold of to get this resolved but this is rediculous.

Ever time I email Sirius I get the same response as you did.
"blah, blah, blah, we'll notify the appropriate team, blah, blah"
But here we are several days later and nothing has been done.

I'm pissed.

I just emailed "customer service" (LMAO) again.

My 3rd since Tuesday.

I suggest that everyone having issues with the Phoenix repeater do the same because they are obviously not going to do shit about it without a ton of complaints.

Last year we had something similar happen to a repeater in Orange County. After a big storm, I lost all my "terr" signal. There was a long thread here about it. It ended up taking a week or so before it was finally fixed. I'd imagine that if a repeater is damaged and needs to be fixed or replaced that they can't just go down to Radio Shack and get parts. Hopefully they'll get yours up and running again soon.

Thanks, ProperModulation. That is an encouraging post to read. It's definitely frustrating, considering the circumstances. I hope that we are in a similar situation as you were, and that all will be well soon.

Sucks to have our hands tied like this!

I called Sirius last night, telling them about there ground repeater in Phoenix might be down? Of coarse, the guy told me, there might not be a ground repeater in Phoenix. But I told him, I post in a Sirius fan website and people have posted there is one there and then all the sudden he pulls out a list of repeaters and found one in Phoenix and he has gotten some calls on it and collecting some information on it and they will look into it soon. He also told me they are having ground repeater problems in Seattle and Flordia.

But the CS guy also told me, almost the location of the Phoenix ground repeater, it located near Downtown Phoenix - I-17, I-10 and near Southern ave. So that means probably on one of the tall building’s in downtown Phoenix or when he said Southern, it probably on South Mountain, which would probably make more sense?

Well I work right at the I-10, I-17 split, just off the I-17 Jefferson st. exit (and I have an office window) and I still get a crap signal.

Seems like if it were that close to me I would'nt have any issues.

It's all just a mystery to us AND customer service.

Just keep paying that subscription and maybe you will one day be able to hear what you are paying for.

Up and running! I had no signal before lunch, when I got back from lunch I turned it on and after 20 minutes I got a signal. It is still loosing signal sometimes, for 10-30 seconds. Not quite what I had before, but maybe they are still working on it.
