Hmm, you're one of the lucky ones. Nothing has changed for me. Three bars on TER, but "Acquiring Signal" still. I just barely turned mine on again, and am leaving work in about 20 minutes, so I'll see if anything changes in the meantime.

I'm getting 3-5 bars up and down BUT I am now able to listen with very few drops.

Fingers crossed it holds up, Howard 100 news is hilarious.

Howard 100 news, NO MORE BULLSHIT!

Damnit, I spoke too soon. Lost signal just a few minutes after my last post and nothing since then.

For the past couple of days on my Starmate Replay it has, three bars on TER, and saying "Acquiring Signal" all day at work! When I drive threw the tunnel, I am loosing my signal, in the past I never lost my signal in the tunnel!

Fix the damn ground repeater all ready!!!

Now that's strange! I believe there are 2 repeaters in Phoenix. A high power one that's located somewhere in the downtown area. The tunnel is too long to be covered by that repeater and appears to be served by a seperate low power system. Both being down this long sounds like a bigger problem.

If there are in-fact two repeaters, they're not both down. My girlfriend works on Central and Thomas in a high-rise, and she gets almost a max terrestrial signal. If anything, one repeater is down, as people farther north are getting nothing inside buildings. It's as if the signal went completely away.

We had a similar situation in California last year with an INOP repeater. I saw the exact same behavior before the thing was actually fixed - the terr signal would come back for brief periods then disappear again. Hopefully this means that they are working on it and will have it fixed sometime soon. For us it took a week to 10 days, which was a bummer for those of us that rely on the repeaters for indoor signal. Hopefully you'll be up and running again soon.

Well, nothing seems to have changed over the weekend. Is everyone else in the Phoenix area still having reception issues at work?

I have been down for several days. My location is just east of the airport (34th St. and University Dr.) There have been outages before, but never this long.

Would a Terk SIR6 even make a difference? I would have to use it indoors, as I'm not near a window, but if it's a lot stronger than the standard antenna, maybe it would work? I really don't have any place within 75-100 feet to run a cord out of the building.

My signal has been weaker than usual but I'm not getting any drops anymore.

Bout 6-7 bars of Terrestrial since Friday or so.

I'm at the I-17, Jefferson St Exit.

Siri6 won't make a difference in your case. It's only marginally more sensitive than your standard home antenna and is mainly intended for outdoor mounting.

ARGGG!!!! The gremlins that line in my Sportster are back!

Has anyone gotten an estimate for the repair date of our repeater?

I just get "Thanks for telling us our service is shitty, we'll notify the appropriate team, and then they will have a good laugh at your expense."
