Default Starmate Replay install question

I am looking at purchasing a starmate replay and to install it in my truck. I currently have a PNP2 will the power and antenna from the PNP2 be able to be used with the Starmate? Thanks for the help

Regards,
Pat

The antenna will work for sure. the power cord might, but I'm not entirely sure.

Thanks. I am hoping that the power will work also so I do not have to get it rewired. Does anyone else know about the power supply?

Yes the power wire should work, it has the same connector. Is it an right angle connector? Because using a straight connector it will stick out like a sore thumb.

I bought it and it did hook up with no problem. There was one problem though I thought that it was too fragile and that I would break it moving it from place to place. I figure if you drop it once it is dead. I will stick with the pnp2 until they come up with a portable walkman like device.

Too Fragile? You've got to be kidding... There isn't anything fragile about this tuner that I can see. I've been using it for over a month, the key is having a nice little case to slide it down into when you are moving it around.

I think you've just passed on the best Sirius tuner to date. You'll pay a heck of a lot more for a portable type device and currently there isn't any that will get live reception except in a home or car docking kit. So, unless you are willing to pay more and go for that, you'll more than likely be waiting a while.

Yeah I was just saying it was too delicate for me. I know that there isn't a portable unit yet but I think I am just going to hold out until they come out with one by that time I should be able to get the replay for 49 dollars.

arn't most dc 12v car plugs the same if the end plug fits you radio? I mean there is really nothing in those plugs to control voltage or amps right?
