Default Starmate Replay signal problem...

I have had the Starmate Relay for maybe three weeks and suddenly I'm having reception problems.
The signal indicator is showing full sattelite signal and three bars of terrestrial but all the radio does is "acquiring signal" I've been playing around moving the antenna but it hasn't helped. This is at my home. The antenna is outside.
Reception has been great until a few days ago, it started getting worse and now I can't get it at all. Any suggestions?

The antenna should have a clear view of the sky.

I have mine laid flat and facing up and I have 3 bars all the time.

What I'm saying is that I have the antenna positioned so that I have all bars on the sattellite signal indicator lit up, but all the radio ever does any more is display "acquiring signal"
Is there a a reliable cuttoff of how many bars should allow reception?
I guess I will try to get a replacement since this problem worsened over a period of days and now it's useless. It seems like a hardware malfunction of some kind rather than a genuine reception problem.

Yeah I would return it. Let us know how the new one works out.
