Default Demo Mode Sound Quality VS. Activated Account

Without going into to much detail, my Sirius is in Demo Mode - I have all of the channels but havent selected a plan yet. Basically the account is being switched over and the rep gave me a temporary demo signal in the meantime.

Now I'm hooked up through FM transmitter and the sound quality is awful. Theres a loud hiss, and sounds comparable to AM radio. I've read that people arent satisfied with the quality, but my friend has a different unit hooked up the same exact way (FM transmitter) and his sounds way better - theres no hissing like mine is experiencing.

Can the sound problems be because I'm in Demo mode and dont have a fully activated account? Or is the FM modulator on my unit not as good as his?

Any help would be appreciated

There is no such thing as a Demo Mode.

It is possible that you might have a dealer-paid subscription that the dealer is giving to you as a 'Demo'; but a feed is a feed.

Do you have the extended FM Antenna connected to your Unit? Have you tried changing the channel??

you need to try out a few different FM stations on your radio to find one that best works with the signal your Sirius Radio broadcasts... the manual will tell you how to change the channel...

I'll tell you this much, you might not find a channel that you are totally happy with, you might have to use the output on the back of your Sirius Radio to plug into your radio directly if possible,

the best fix is a FM Modulator Relay, I'm also going to try the line out to tape cassette adapter
