Default Starmate replay sound quality stinks.

Hey everyone! I’m having a problem with my sound quality. I had the Starmate replay installed by Best Buy and it looks great, but the sound isn’t good. It sounds like the songs are muffled or on mono and not crisp. The FM radio sounds so much better that the Sirius receiver.

I have a 2005 Pontiac G6 with the factory Pontiac radio and the Sirius receiver power is hardwired to the car. I am using the FM modulator, can anyone help me fix this dumb problem.

Also is it normal for the terrestrial signal to cycle up and down from 6 bars to 10 bars constantly while the car is not moving. I live in New York City and because of the strong terrestrial signal I haven’t been far enough away to see the Satellite signal meter register a signal yet.

Have you tried different FM channels? I had to try about 4 or 5 before I found one that sounded good.
