Default How to hook up a sportster to an alpine with ipod interface?

Hi,
My wife has a 4runner with an Alpine CDA-9827 and an KCA-420i ipod interface. She also has a sirius sportster which she has been using the FM modulator with. Is there a way to hook sirius up to the head unit and not use the fm modulator? I do not think I can use the USA-Spec aux DF-TOY converter because the ipod interface uses the cd changer input. I appologize if this is a stupid question, I do not know much about hooking these up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there.

Its a rather simple; yet a bit costly fix. Alpine sells a Unit called the KCA-410C; its sort of like an Ai-Net Splitter.

Rather than having the KCA-420i connect directly into the Radio; you have it plug into the KCA-410C. Once it is plugged into there you plug the KCA-410C into the Radio.

The KCA-410C allows you to plug in 2 Ai-Net units (Such as an iPod and a Changer, or Sirius / XM Tuner) and adds 2 RCA Inputs.

Ask your local Alpine Dealer; or an online site such as Crutchfield.com

Thanks for the help! For that price my wife will just have to deal with the occasional static. If there is any other ways to hook up sirius to the head unit, please do let me know.
