Default Sportster Replay Boombox Reception Sucks!

Hi There,
I just got the Sportster Replay Boombox and the reception is horrible in my home. I put it on one side of my house (near a window with blinds) and it didn't work. I then brought it to another room, facing the same direction and it had reception, but the radio would go in and out.

Then, I brought it to the other side of my home and placed it near a window and the reception was just as bad as on the other side of the house. Why is that happening? Can someone please help me out?

If I unravel the antenna, will that make it play better?

Thanks,
Dan

Only if you unravel it and put it outside.

I have my antennas mounted to the WEST side of my house. I get 2 or 3 bars, depending on time of day.

Sirius should make an entry level "repeater" for home use. Mount one Sirius antenna on the roof, attached to a repeater so other recievers in the house could roam freely.

The blinds may be giving you a problem...especially if they are metal.Put it back in the window and raise the blinds above the antenna and see what happens.
