Default 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Install Pictures

This past weekend I installed my XACT Replay Sirius receiver on my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX. The install itself was pretty easy so I hope this helps out some of my fellow Suby owners.

I didn't have a problem with running the antenna line. Just use a rubber type Squeegee or even a Credit Card to pry the window moldings when inserting the antenna. I took the glove box and Stereo bezel off to make it easy to pass the wires through. If you have any questions just PM.

This is a picture of the roof on the passenger pillar side.

I am still using the 12v adapter but may hook it up directly to a 12V line to make the install a lot more cleaner. I am happy with the easy install.

Enjoy and Good Luck!

Looks nice. HoOn, is that a touchscreen lcd I see there? I've seen your setup on mp3car.com, haven't I? It looks like the Sirius receiver might block a little bit of your screen, is that true? Did you consider (is it even possible?) using a built-in type receiver and integrating it into your car pc?
I don't have a car pc, but I'm interested in building one and sat radio is something I would like to include. Just curious if it's possible, and what issues there may be...

Hey Brad!

The screen you see isn't a touchscreen but more of a passive Video Screen. The Xact Replay doesn't cover any part of the screen so it's all good. I used Velcro to mount the receiver so if it indeed was blocking the view I could just readjust it. I don't think you'll have any issues if you built a car PC and included a SAT radio with it.

Good Luck and show us some pictures if you decide to go that route.

Hey HoOn -- Great looking install! It's very neat and clean, and the Xact Replay unit matches your interior very well. Nice job on the install, and thanks for sharing your pics.

hOOn,

Now I'm confusing myself replying to your threads here as well as on Nabisco.

Where did you get the housing holding in your HU up where the clock/guages go?

I'd love to put my Starmate Replay up there.

Bill
