Default Harmon Kardon iPod adapter with auxiliary input

I am looking into getting an iPod but my 2004 VW Jetta only has one auxiliary input which is currently connected to a Sirius Starbase. The cool looking Harmon Kardon iPod adapter for vehicles claims to also have an auxiliary input on it. Is it possible for me to put in series the HK iPod adapter connected to my car's aux input, and then my Sirius Starbase connected to the HK's aux input? Is the HK's aux in just a pass-thru for audio from another source?

Thanks in advance,

Check this page:
http://www.harmankardon.com/drive-1/diagram.aspx

The diagram shows an auxilliary device option and even lists satellite radio as an example of what you might use it for.

If you want I will check the actual product tomorrow. I have a few of them on the shelves.

They should have the Aux Input however.

Yeah they definitely have an Aux input per Peterbilt's post above. It is a 3.5mm stereo in plug for which I can get an adapter for my RCA plugs on the Sirius Starbase.

If you could actually test the aux passthrough of an auxiliary component on a Harmon Kardon iPod adapter I'd appreciate it!

Also, are 3.5mm stereo and RCA equivalent or is one "lesser" than the other. Do you lose any sound quality going either way?

Thanks,
