Default Outdoor Antenna install question...

I currently have my Boombox antenna mounted outside.

Right now, I have it running through a window with the window closed on the wire which really isn't the best.

I plan on getting the Outdoor antenna and I was wondering is there a simple way to run the cable? Can it be done without a cable?

I am looking for something easy but permanent.

Thanks

How do you feel about drilling holes in your house?

Do you have a satellite dish?

I did the same thing. Just be very gentle closing the window. I put weather stripping on the window to soften the blow and get a better seal. It's cold enough here in Ohio.I don't need any more breezes blowing in considering natural gas prices this year. Seems OK so far and the signal is great. The window is right above my stereo, so at this point, I see no reason to change it.

I put my boombox in my bedroom. I couldn't get a good signal from the inside of the window. I didn't want to run the little wire through the window, i felt the window would damage the wire.

A few years ago I installed a satellite dish and drilled a hole in that room for the cable to come through. I pulled the cable for the satellite back out through the hole and ran the sirius antenna wire in through the hole the Sat/TV wire was in. After the sirius antenna wire was ran and in place, I then put the Sat/TV wire back in the same hole (both fit ok).

The boombox antenna is now outside, stuck on the top of my A/C unit with double sided tape. My signal is good and when using the FM transmitter, almost all radios in my house pick up the signal.

I am thinking of getting a powered FM antenna for the one radio on the other side of my house that gets it in a little scratchy.
