Default Sound Quality question from new subscriber...

I've read many posts seemingly related to this question but still seem unclear on the exact answer (if there is one)....The sound quality on my Sportster is not what I expected, actually it is less than current FM stations. Should I be able to resolve this issue by finding another FM station or does the solution to digital quality sound come from a direct connection to the aux jack on my car stereo. I have heard I dont need to hard wire it as it will not make a difference, Is this true? Should I just find another station? Or should I just live with it? Hoping the latter is not the answer...Thanks!

Guess the question is this......Will I achieve digital quality sound by hardwiring my Sportster?

Using a direct connection will only help you get the best quality sound possible, but the sound quality is still not going to be anywhere near digital quality as in CDs and the like. The sound quality of Sirius leaves a lot to be desired, IMO and as you've found out not even as good as FM. Using another FM station will only help clean up the sound if you're experiencing static and interference caused by a nearby station's signal bleeding over into your Sirius will not increase the sound quality in terms of dynamic range and frequency repsonse.
