Default Audiovox PNP1 or PNP2 Shuttle Home - FM MODULATION

I was informed that the FM MODULAION option for these units is only for the car docking station for in car use.

Has anybody been successful using FM MODULATION in the home docking unit in a house/business.

This question is for these 2 shuttles only, I understand with some other Brand units/docking stations this is easier.

Thanks for your time.

Default One kit for both places....

The problem is the home docking unit does not have a FM mod- you have to use the RCA cables to make a direct connect to the amp.

Which is why I bought a car kit to use at home- for me it is easier to make a car kit work in my house, than to make a home kit work. Plus, of course, my car kit is usable in my car, too.

I've got a PNP2 and I use a home kit in the house.. I just use an external transmitter...

I picked up the Pyle PLMD1.... It works all around the house. I'm listening to it right now over the TV/FM tuner card in my computer

How do you power that in the house it looks like it just comes with a car adaptor plug.

I use a 12V power cube.. Radio shack can supply one with the correct plug. Or.. You might be able to dig up one of these 12V adapters

The cord that comes with the transmitter has RCA plugs on one end, but again, Radio Shack has cords with 3.5" stereo plugs on each side.
