Default Sportster 4 Install in 2006 Civic Sedan

i posted a link to my photos in another section but figured this would be a better spot

i've actually moved the unit in a bit so it sits about 1" or so lower and further back in the little cubby where the suction cup mount is fastened to (i used a piece of plexi-glass that i cut and screwed into the top piece of the cubby (it's removeable, and costs $8 to replace whenever i sell the car )

i've also since tied these cables together w/ a velcro tie-wrap

the gooseneck deal to the left is my FlexDock for my iPod. i have a 6" Cardas audio cable that goes from that to the Sportster aux-in jack, then another of those Cardas cables going from the Sportster to my Civic's 1/8" aux input

still leaves me pretty good access to the lower cubby

side view... it now sits with the top just under the light gray dash piece. i'll take some new photos and update this post soon.

You could get one of those loboy mounts so that you can direct the radio up and towards you.

i actually like it where it's at honestly. having it but up against my console, that way when i press buttons it doesn't move around. but yeah, if i wanted i could angle it over to the left for sure.

the mount that the Sportster 4 comes with allows you to swivel it a good deal though, so if i wanted i could easily mount it up higher and angled towards me, but i have no problem maneuvering it safely while driving (i tend to use the remote whenever i'm driving in traffic, that way i don't have to stretch at all).
