Default Keep losing signal on my Starmate Replay

I just purchased a Starmate Replay mainly to use on my Harley but I also have a home kit and listen to it on my home surround system. Anyway I understand that you can lose the signal when riding under trees or other objects that can block the signal. But sometimes I can be in a completely open area and lose the signal for a few seconds. It can happen off and on several times in a short time span. It will work OK for awhile and then start losing the signal off and on again. Other times it works perfectly never losing the signal. Also I never notice a signal lost when the Starmate is in the home kit. But then I haven't really used it that much in the house. Can someone please tell me what's going on? Thanks.

Have you checked the ground repeater map in your area?

No I didn't. I'm not even sure there are any in my area. How do I find out. Thanks.

Someone will jump in here and post the link in a minute. I personally have been wondering about NE coverage for a long time. I've had perfect reception all over the country until last week. I couldn't get anything up in Vermont. I usually travel around the southwest/west coast and have had perfect signal for years but I've heard a lot of complaints from the NE. My Sirius worked great in Boston, but nothing up in Vermont. This is a good thread, I'm curious to hear what people have to say.
