Default Ford 2007 Sportrac Compatible Sirius Radio

If I had any hair left I would have pulled it out by now.
My daughters car was totalled last week by a teenager who didnt see this new invention called traffic lights and plowed straight into the back of a suburban which plowed straight into the back of my daughters Ford Focus. Needles to say the Ford Focus was totalled.Thankfully noboday was hurt.I got her a new 2007 Ford Sporttrac which is fitted with a Audiophile Sound System 6 cd changer. It does not have the navigational system.2007 marks the year where Ford changed the whole radio set up so all the kits for the 2006 system are not compatible with the 2007.I already have Sirius in three vehicles so I know how the system works but I need to know what I need to make the factory radio operational with Sirius. I read the manual, contacted the salesman, who said contact service who said contact the installer who said contact the service manager who said contact parts who said contact the service manager who said contact Ford in Detroit, who said contact Sirius where I talked to three people who dont know.I have been asked for the VIN number three times. One lady said that all you had to do was hold the auxillary button(2007 models dont have the satellite button)and the number 1 programmable button for three seconds and the radio ID would become visible. I explained that I couldnt see how this would be possible since the vehicle didnt have a Sirius antenna but I was told that they can hide them. That was news to me however I gave her the benefit of the doubt and guess what it didnt work.Other Customer service reps put me on hold and quietly disconnected me. I have noticed this is getting more common when they dont know the answer or that you want to disconnect a radio.
Anyway has anybody got any ideas how to go forward with this as I need to know what to buy with respect to cables (Tuner is pretty staright forward) before I get best buy to install. I really dont want to change the whole radio out however this looks like the only way to go. Also I really dont want to take the radio out to see what cables it needs then reinstall it and then take it out when the cables arrive.
Appreciate any help

Angry Wish I could help.

I am in the same boat with my 2007 Focus but have not gotten as far as you yet. Everyone keeps asking if I have a SAT button and I keep explaining that I have an AUX button but it should be the same thing (just works for SAT and AUX input like the iPod adapters they are putting in everything except the far).
