Default 1999 Civic Installation Question

I have a Sportster Replay that I recently installed on my 1999 Honda Civic. I live in Dallas so the FM transmitter picks up a ton of interferance and there is no way to remove my antenae due to it being embedded in the windshield.

I do however have an old input in the trunk that I formerly had a pioneer CD changer on. Is there an adapter I can buy that would hook into the former CD changers input on my factory radio?

If you can get to the CD changer inputs easily, you might want to consider a modulator relay. Do a search for 'SAT-SWB'.

Does this mean that if i can remove my car antenna - i will get better reception using the fm transmitter in my sirius unit? Would it also help if i put the antenna down and not up?

I've read posts where people did both. In both cases, they reported a great FM signal with no static. If you have a way to put the antenna down, I would go with that.
