Default exchange xm to sirius antenna on auto roof

I have a Honda Accord with an xm antenna installed on the roof. I would like to know if anybody has changed the xm antenna on the roof of their car to a sirius antenna and if there is someplace to find out what it takes to get this done.

One of the members on this forum fabricates adapters for this. BrianRWebb. They are more expensive to make for the Hondas, but it's worth it for that clean look.

Maybe I wasn't clear about what I am looking for. I actually want to place a sirius antenna under the shell that covers the xm antenna and I am looking for the link at Honda that shows how this might be done. I believe that it is a factory cover that covers the xm antenna on the roof of my Honda Accord.

well, yes, you could take the cover off the roof-mount antenna, to place your Sirius antenna inside, but you'd have to modify the underbelly of the XM antenna to be able to feed out the Sirius cable through it, AND you'd have to completely remove the headliner to get to the nut to unscrew the antenna from the roof of the Honda, AND then you'd have to dis-assemble the Honda antenna to remove the inner XM antenna guts of it to place your Sirius antenna inside:

you're better off adapting to the proprietary lead in your trunk:

the above is a lot of work, and the XM antenna will gain equal strength with the Sirius antenna on a Sirius receiver.

I'm sure it's possible, but it seems like it would be a difficult project. I've installed the adapter that brianrwebb makes and it works perfectly. I get a strong sat signal, and a strong terrestrial signal as well.
