Default Philly (West) suburbs FM suggestion?

Hey all - long time, no post. Have a problem - got a Sirius One for my wife's car - Installed OK - recommendation for FM was 106.5 - that worked OK until the car started moving. There is no cassette player in the car - any suggestions would be much appreciated.

TIA!

I'm going to the mall tomorrow - think I'll take her car and try all the above stations - see what works best.

Thanks!

If you log onto www.fmfind.info you can get all the vacant stations in your city. Thats the best way to choose. Also, make sure you use the FM OUT antenna if you have one.

I did that's how I found 106.5. What's the deal with the FM OUT antenna? Is that hard-wiring it into the car radio?

TIA!

Yes, it is either for an FM wire (now selling on ebay) or the FM Direct Adapter (aka Wired FM modulator) to releave static from the FM transmitter.

There's no inputs on the front of the radio - that would mean a pro install. Right now - my wife is OK with things as they are (I never am).

You do not need a pro to install the wired FM modulator,
If you can take your radio out yourself.

Think of it like a cable box.

Unplug your antenna from the back of the radio.
Then plug the FM modulator in its place.
Now plug the antenna into the FM moduator
The last connection goes into the FM OUT.

Default 92.9

I live in Philly and work in Valley Forge. 92.9 has been the best reception so far.

My reception was terrible around philly, so I complained a bit and Sirius gave me a $20 credit to put towards an FM modulator (I'm pretty sure that's what they're called. It cost a total of $40 including the modulator, less the $20 from sirius and about an hour, and now as soon as my sirius goes on, the entire band is cleared. I can tune to what years ago were decent stations (WMMR, WYSP) and actually listen to static free music. Good luck

Can you still listen to the FM stations? What's involved with install?
