Default I just need a short extension cable (5')

Hi All,

I installed a Sirius antenna on my roof that came with 20' feet or so. It reaches all the way down to where I need to be on my desk. However, I just need about 5 more feet and I can put my dock exactly where I want it. I know there's the 50' extension cable, but that's way too long and expensive. Are there any shorter extension cables out there (like 5') or adapters I can use with another kind of cable?

Thanks in advance,

Eric

I don't think there is such a thing as a 5 foot extension.

You'd have to build your own. The cable and connectors aren't available at easy to find places like RadShack and the crimping tool for the SMB connectors sells for close to $100 bucks...

Antenna wire lengths are definitely a pain. Either they're too short, or you've got a bunch of wire you don't need wound up and either pushed out of sight or just looking messy... In my case, it looks messy

There is a new Car Antenna Extension Cable thats 20 Feet.

It may work. Plus since the cable is not as thick, it will be easier to hide.

I wish I knew about this before I had to completly re-route my antenna from the floor to the ceiling of my windstar. I would of gladly paid 30 bucks to save re-wiring of the antenna.
