Question Just curious about something????

I was just curious about what happened today or should i say that showed up today on my sirius receiver... I was driving home from the gorcery store and as always, have my sirius ready radio always on, so when i start the engine, it automatically comes on without me having to manually turn on the receiver. Anyways, when i got in my truck and turned it on, on my sirius ready receiver it displayed "Reset 8".. this is the first time i ever saw this on my receiver aswell as the first time it displayed this at all. I didn't know what it means but i couldn't hear the howard stern show that i always leave my radio on at. So i just pressed the off button and turned my radio back on and it worked, no more "reset 8" displaying on my receiver. Anyways my question is this... does anyone know what the"RESET8" means? and what do i do inorder to prevent this from happening again, like what do i need to fix and etc? Thanks, i look forward to ya'lls rapid responses to hear what ya'll have to say.

Give people the specifics of your radio, make and model. That will help you get more specific responses I'm sure. If it's a JVC I found this answer online "This error indicates that there is a communication problem between the radio and the CD changer. To correct this problem check the main data cable connection between the CD changer and the radio, make sure that the data cable is connected properly then press the reset button on the CD changer. If the problem still exist it is advisable to have the unit check by an Authorized or Factory JVC Service Center". Your SIRIUS unit is probably connected through the data cable that's used for a CD changer and that may be loose.

AYeah its a JVC sirius ready, mp3 player, cd player, etc... head unit... But what would cause this to happen? Like i said, i have had this new head unit already for a couple of months and this has never happened at all once till today. Today was the first and only time it happened.. So what would cause this to happen? And if "knock on wood" this problem happened again, would it still be covered under warranty since i have had this unit for a couple of months or would i be required to pay? Please let me know. Thanks also for the rapid reponses.. You really helped me out a lot
