Default This is giving me a headache...

For a couple of weeks I've had both the Stiletto home and car kits. I opened the home kit first and after looking through the install guide and seeing I'd have to install the antenna on my roof and run a wire through the house I put this project on hold.

Today, I opened the car kit, thinking it might be a lot easier. Well, after looking through the guide, it looks almost as daunting.

Am I missing something here? Is this really something an average, not-"tool time" guy can handle? Have I overreacted or am I making this bigger than it needs to be?

If not, what's next? Given the complexity (bringing a pro out and having him have to get on my roof) and likely expense involved, perhaps it's best to forget the home install altogether.

As far as the car goes, if I have to outsource this, what's the best way to go? Is it Circuit City or Best Buy? Can my local auto mechanic shop, that specializes in BMW's, handle it? What kind of a cost should I expect?

Any positive thoughts and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

No offence but it is Extremely easy to put a antenna on a roof you can just bring the wire through a window if u want. Also installing antenna on the roof of the beamer isn't that hard u can just run it down the windshield weather stripping through the door jam into the car if need be but you can pay for a pro to do it, it isn't that expensive

Yeah, I mean, roof the antenna? I just got an extension cord and ran around until I found a good signal and WHAM-O. All done. You can put it ANYWHERE.
