Default Jeep Factory Radio Question

I have been a subscriber for 3 years with all PnP radios. A friend of mine has recently purchased a used Jeep Liberty with a Sirius factory radio. When she asked me how to register her radio I told her to call in the ESN #. However her radio does not display the ESN #'s like they do on the PnP. Any ideas on how this would be done?

Maybe try turning to Sirius channel 0 (zero). It might work.

As I understand it. I believe you need to purchase Sirius connect tuner system. That is what has the ESN number. Those will set you back another 100.00 dollars. They have to get plugged into the ready receiver. Those units very depending on the type of car you have. Sirius, Crutchfeild, TSS. Any of those places should have these units. Don't hold me to this, but I'm pretty sure. Double check on that. Anyone...

No it was working for a few months. I told them the free subscription probably ended. I thought of tuning to channel 0 after I sent the note. I will try. Thanks

mtsz52784-

thanks so much for the OEM info. i would never have guessed that the SID would be so difficult to reach; i would have thought just as those previous who posted that tuning to channel 0 or entering a menu would provide you with the ID.

has anyone taken a look at the method by which you must use to retrieve the SID from an OEM Chrysler headunit:

Way Off-Topic: anyone here play Call of Duty 3 on the PS3 yet?
