Default SIR-GM1 2005 Buick LeSabre

I just replaced the XM Tuner with the SIR-GM1, piece of cake once you can find the XM Tuner.

On the Lesabre the XM tuner is located in the trunk in the left rear quarter panel.

Unscrew the plastic nut holding the carpet in place to the wheel well. Peel it back. Loosen the 2 nuts of the mounting bracket holding the XM tuner to the chassis and slide it up.

Unscrew the 3 nuts holding the XM tuner to the mounting bracket. I taped the SIR-GM1 to the mounting bracket with electrical tape because there are no posts on the SIR-GM1 like the ones on the XM tuner and remounted the mounting bracket and screwed it back in place.

The XM antenna cable wouldn't stay on the SIR-GM1 at all so I mounted the Sirius antenna to the trunk ran the antenna cable back to the SIR-GM1. Hid the cable and tucked the carpet back in place

The only problem I'm having is that the tone levels keep changing.

I set the Bass, Mid and Treble to what I like but it keeps getting reset.

The FM stations all have the tone levels I set but the Sirius band has everything reset to Bass +4, Treble +5 and Mid 0.

Does the reset effect FM too? If not then you may want to make sure that the SIR-GM1 power cables are secure. Hope this helps.
