This is on a JVC HU right? If so, you need to unplug the j-bus cable from the SIR-JVC1 then turn on the HU. Then turn the HU off and plug the cable back in. Then turn the HU on again. You should be all set. This happened to me a few times.

What "Reset 08" means is that the j-bus cable has come uplugged just slightly.

This has happened to my wife a few times and she has just removes the face of the HU and when she puts it back on, Sirius comes back.

It mainly happens when she is switching channels too quickly for the unit to keep up and I just thought the HU or the tuner got "confused."

Ok, hopefully someone can help me out because I'm getting ticked...

I drove from Denver to Omaha this Thanksgiving weekend and twice I got the "Reset 8" error and ended up having to remove the radio, unplugging the Sirius Tuner and plugging it back in to be able to listen to Sirius. This is the first "big" road trip I have taken with the JVC Sirius tuner since installing it in October. The 2nd time it happened, I ended up using electrical tape on the connections in the back of the unit to make sure the cables aren't comming loose.

I plan to call JVC tomorrow to see what they say...

Anyone else having a problem like this?

Yeah I have a JVC HU and have the same problem with the Sirius Connect j-bus cable. I thought it was something i did with install because i transfered it from my old car to my new vehicle. But after about 1 week of it happening and then i pulled out the headunit and j-bus cable it has worked great ever since. Except last night when i let the wife take the jeep and she said she was trying to change the channel so i think she was going to quick. but it is a PITA when it does happen.
