Default Fm modulator in 2002 dodge ram

Will the Sirius FM modulator hook directly upto my factory 2002 Dodge Ram stereo, or do I need a special adaptor or something.?

i have an 02 ram also, and i installed the fm mod in mine. you will need 2 antenna adapters as well, the stock antenna has a different connection than the fm mod. they run about $12 a piece. i got mine at my local installation shop. very easy install though, the dash panel comes off surprisingly easy.

I have an '05 RAM and I'd like to hardwire my S50 to my head unit (factory) so I don't have to tune to a FM station. I think the quality is pretty crappy and think it would sound better to hardwire it. Is that what you two are referring to? If so, what will I need to do this?

This unit is here. It will directly connect your satellite radio to your car radio, and the Direct Adapter Wired Relay switches between Satellite Radio (when on) and FM Radio (when off) providing a clean output from satellite radio to car radio.

Thanks! That's the first I've seen that device. Is the quality as good as if I were to use an AUX in on the head unit or is it still "FM" quality?

its not as good as using the aux out, but damn near close. i notice when i drive through providence it still gets some sort of static, but bearable, usually only hear it when i'm listening to the nfl talk.
