Believe it or not there are two types of "plans" you may be on and that makes all the difference right there. If you log onto your SIRIUS account and see "1 Year Plan" that means it will automatically renew on the same credit card for the same amount and for the same period of time you previously had with no action required on your part. However, if you see "1 Year Subscription" this means that the radio will no longer be active after the end date unless you take action and call SIRIUS to set up payment details and so on.
I didnt know that. What i do know is if its a year subscription or plan, it will renew automatically you dont have to call... the only time sirius will not renew your plan automatically will be when you have a pre-paid subscription. I can be mistaken in the "subscription or plan part" but thats the info i got so far.

I activated my unit on 12/25/05 and it will be done 1/25/07. Any ideas?
On the year plan you will be paying 12 months for the price of 11. And yes if you dont call up it will renew all by it self.

Bookworm will become famous soon enough
Unhappy

Regarding the "pay for 11 months and get one free" that was true for me the previous three times I paid for my yearly subscription. It went up this year so I checked my account and apparently NC now adds tax to my bill so now I save $.20 a month. Woohoo!

That kinda sucks.
Sirius actually prorates your bill. So when you activated it on the 31st, they should have given you a discount for the cost of the month of january. I had gotten 2 new family plan radios last May. Activated one on the 30th and one on the 14th. Even though it was a 6 month subscription for both, they cost a different amount just so that everything billed on the 1st of the month.

If I am set up for Automatic Renewal on the 1 year plan; will I be billed the discounted 11 month rate - or do I have to ask for the discount?
