Default update

my dad just called tech support and he said that they were no help. Tech support said try blowing on the starmate replay boombox so i did that nothin still at 2 bars. im thinking of taking back the boombox and my starmate replay and exchanging it for a stiletto.

Thumbs down

Regardless, there should be nothing wrong with reception in Houston as long as your antenna is properly placed.

I'm North of downtown 27 miles, antenna is aimed correctly, clear view!! I'm beginning to think it is just real poor quality equipment. Also I think it may be a contest between the sat signal VS repeater(terrestrial) !!!

I'm in Phoenix and getting a strong terrestrial signal. However, looking at the signal meter, the satellite signal goes down to zero bars at times.

Angry Philly Area

I have had Sirius since October, 2006....radio, antenna, has been in the same spot. OVERNIGHT, i have no signal. From my home in South Jersey, to work in Philly...no signal, UNTIL I get on the bridge. I have a full signal, then as soon as i'm off, the signal disappears.

What's weird, if i put my trunk up (where my antenna is) i get a full signal. WTF happened overnight??

Post signal interruption

i'm in south mississippi and this past week, have experienced signal loss. i have the sportster replay, rigged up at home, with a windowsill antenna mounted on the roof. it's been cloudy this week, but at times the signal is just fine thru the clouds. that right there should be proof that it's something in space, but ain't the clouds.

12 minutes ago (3:00 AM EST) my receiver lost its connection for 5 minutes and went through an update process, although I didn't notice anything different when I went through all of the channels when the update completed.

so update, still giving me the "aquiring signal" -- i just moved it from the home wiring to the boombox for a different antennae and sky position but no luck. of course, it's 3-5am so i'm not gonna panic just yet. maybe they're working on something?

Default Philly repeater down

I'm in South Jersey a few miles from Philly. The signal from the Philly repeater is always very strong where I am, but this morning I have zero signal on the repeater. Only getting reception from the satellite.

yeah it worked in my car today so i think it's just that the ground repeater's down-- hopefully very temporarily. at least i'm relieved it's not my receiver but still having to wire an antenae for the home if this thing stays down is gonna be a huge pain in the ass.
