Called yesterday - Sunday 1/21 - and the customer service rep first said that I should put my antenna on the roof. timstack isn't the only one... She finally slipped and said that all repeaters were down - and a second later said "well, they WERE down, they're up now!". I call BS.

No signal here in Delaware County PA since the wind storms on Friday night, 1/19 and I'm not happy...

so i called customer service again this morning. they at least acknowledged that repeaters were down, but i had to kinda change my question so that it was already understood they were down, and i just wanted to know for how long.

so strange that we need to kinda regulate/pay attention to this stuff ourselves.

Default philly acquiring signal

This has been happening to me in Philadelphia since Saturday.
Never had the problem before, didn't touch or move anything. It just isn't working. They told me to move my antenna and they will re-send the signal.

Signal has been very choppy for me today and as of right now it is out again. I have my radio right near a window but apparently have always been receiving the repeater signal and not the one from the satellite. How many people actually put their antenna on the roof?

I've been having the same exact problem in South Jersey (Cherry Hill). I've normally had a strong repeater signal from Philly.

It means that you are getting a level 3 signal directly from the satellite, and no signal from any terrestrial repeater.

Ok. And your antenna is folded down flat and has a clear unrestricted view of the NORTH sky?

I am dealing with the old Radio Shack Orbiter. I have had it since the infancy of the company and it has always worked well. I recently had to get a new antenna and I took it to the folks who have always done my work and they put the flat star-mate antenna on and it has been nothing but trouble. They now say I need another cradle. I spoke to some sirius rep in some far off land and he said it is not compatible or at least it will not work that well, but his english was not so clear and we got cut off.

Does anyone know if I should be using an orbiter antenna or it indeed all the antennas are universal

I have been getting the antenna not detected since November. It comes in and out and some days works great. I am in the Philly area. I have had it for over 2.5 years? It works great with all my home equipment and after reading what you folks are saying I am having the same problem and it started on 11/23
I have sat 3 and ter. None. too

Any suggestions if it is not the antenna?

I tried it last night around 5:30PM and it seems to be working in Philly(19124). I didn't even have to move the antenna that close to the window. It came right up with "1" bar.
