This was brought up today (by me) on KNX 1070's "Money 101". I hope someone from Sirius heard it. Maybe they'll start treating their subscribers a little better and they won't have to get a black eye in the media.

Knx "Commercials ocassionaly interrupted by news"

Seriously, I listen to sirius. If I listen to local radio at all, it is KCRW for the music.

i do have one piece of advise for you, if you want something done for you call the 18885397474 and choose the option "change the status of your account" (6) that will send you to "customer retention" and you will find someone more willing to listen to your problems and make some ammends.
I found this in another thread. Might be worth a try. Let me know if any of you try and how it turns out.

Here it is--Thursday morning in Chicago, sunny, clear---and still 'acquiring signal' and an unlistenable choppy broadcast. This is total bullshit

You are correct sir. That's why I slam Sirius as badly as I do. They try to act as if they're on par with XM, technically. Nothing could be further from the truth and you'll never hear anyone from Sirius admit it.

Keep up the good work---they deserve to be slammed big time. I'm glad I never picked up a stiletto. They've got a long way to go

Kinda weird happenings in Lansing last night. Usually if i want home signal I have to shove my antenna out the window. I had radio hooked up but hadn't yet put it out and I started getting signal. The windowsill antenna was closed and just sitting a few inches away from the window with the curtains drawn. I got really nice signal for a few hours then it cut out.

When you say "out", do you mean no signal and no sound whatsoever under an unobstructed sky? That's ridiculous.

I've talked with other this morning who are having problems in Las Vegas. Possible repeater issue.

Well, I just got my Sirius Stratus yesterday, mainly to listen to Radio Margaritaville at work. I also have XM at work and can get a signal fine even with my windows face northeast and northwest thanks to repeaters. The Sirius unit is giving me fits. I get 4 out of 10 bars on the signal screen from the bird, but no repeater signal but then off and on all day today I then get the acquiring signal even though I am still on 4 bars!

Looking at that dogstar site, looks like there are three repeaters in the Boston area, one downtown Boston, one in North Quincy and one in Watertown. I am in Dedham which is only a couple towns from Quincy and right on the outskirts of Boston, but no repeater signal. Of course looking at that Dogstar site, it looks like the repeater from Quincy will reach the eastern edge of Dedham, but not the central part where I am located.

My question now is do I cancel my subscription right away or wait to see if my problem corresponds with the signal problems that seem to be happening based on this thread. As I said, I have XM also at work, in my car and at home and have NEVER had signal problem, so it's more frustrating for me because I cannot understand while Sirius does not "work" as easily.

I live in the basement apartment. My windows are at shoulder level. To get signal (other than 4 bars satellite which doesn't seem enough to get radio) I have to put the antenna (windowsill indoor/outdoor) actually outside my window, about a foot or so out from the building I'm worried someone will mess with it. The good thing is its the back of the building, so less people will see it and I can kinda put some rocks around it so people don't see it. The bad thing is I have to take it out and in all the time because I don't want to leave it out.

As I said I'm in Lansing, MI and it seems the repeater is out here.
