Post Signal Issues in Boston, MA (ocillating)

I live in the Boston area and for the last 4 days or so I've been experiencing what I can best describe as constant echoes or ocillating with both my S50 and car unit. (separate units and subscriptions) Just about every channel, but some more so than others and to varying degrees at any given time. Everything sounds like its playing through a window fan moving at high speed.
At first I thought it might just be my car unit, then I tried listening to the S50and heard the same.

I contacted Sirius and was advised to contact the warranty dept. I mentioned that I have two units and I'm hearing the same on both, so I don't think its neccessarily a receiver issue. The rep didn't have any input or recommendations at this time.

This is driving me insane! Anyone else experience a similar ongoing issue?

(I'm new here, so if a similar thread exists I apologize)

Thanks!

Just saw a similar thread from some Boston area subscribers from last month. Strange that I've had no drop outs...just that insane vibrating thing. Everyone sounds like they're getting the crap shaken out of them while performing. Hope this goes away.

Unhappy Terrible sound quality now

Same issues here in western PA and it's driving me nuts. Sounds like a cheap kids toy radio. Something must have changed this past weekend to cause this. I'm having problems with both my Sportster and in my factory system in my car. I called support which transferred me, and then told me to call another number. I spoke to the rep there for a half hour, and got nowhere. Was placed on hold and the I was then disconnected. No one has called back.

Post Follow up to earlier post

Well, no one returned my call, so I called them again, and pushed my way though till I got someone who seems to know what is going on, or is a great story teller.

It seems that there is a bug that they are working on and hope to have it fixed "soon". Unfortunately, not all radios react to this bug the same way. Some have no issues at all, and work perfectly fine. Some I understand to sound like a distant static filled FM station instead of this garbled sound. Even within the same model, some have problems, and some don't, seems to depend on when they were made. As far as when it will be fixed, they say it will be "soon". I hope they are right. Problems like this won't help out getting new subscribers for the holidays.

Also, they did state that there will be something posted on the web site soon concerning the various issues and the status of this problem. I guess time will tell...
