Question 2007 Silerado Radio

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. The audio system is a single disc CD, AM/FM radio and has channel preset buttons and a Band Button. Can someone advise if this radio is set up for satellite radio? And if so, could you advise the model of Sirius equipment and cables needed.

thanks,

epb

As far as I know the 07's are not compatable with the SIR-GM1

Yor other option is a PNP unit like the Sportster 4.

If you can get a AUX adpter from Crutchfield, that would be your best option.

Look for any of the other 2007 GM threads floating around you might get some more info. The SIR-GM1 will NOT work with the 07 Denso radio's, BUT with the aux in on the front of the radio your best bet might be using a Sirius PNP tuner like the replay until Sirius gives us a cleaner built in option. GM isn't helping by sending onstar and door chimes through the factory radio, makes it tuff and maybe not worth it to pull the OE radio for a aftermarket.
