Default Audiovox PNP2 Remote Not Working

I just pulled my remote out of my vehicle, and it will not work for my radio. I know the remote works (thank goodness for digital camera CCDs), just not controlling the unit.

Any thoughts?

Welcome to Sirius Backstage

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "pulling the remote out of your vehicle"..

Did the remote work with your PNP2 receiver prior to you putting it in your vehicle? Are you using it on the SAME radio (Did you pull your PNP2 out of your vehicle as well) or are you trying to use the PNP2 remote on a different radio?

Sirius remotes aren't universal.. The remotes from some models don't work with others.. Since you've verified the IR part works, it's not likeley the batteries. It could be that the internal circuitry that reads the remote has failed. PNP2's are getting kind of long in the tooth

The remote was in my car by the unit for two years, and I just brought it inside to use with my free home kit. It's the same radio that came with the unit, so I'm guessing it must be the IR reciever part of the PNP2.

I guess I'll just have to get up and walk over to the reciever. *sigh* exercise

Thanks for the help
