Default Retransmitting a Sirius Program to Other Devices

I have my sirius receiver located next to and playing through my stereo system. The sirius receiver is wired to an outside terk antenna and everything works great. My question is this. Is there a device that will attach to this system and retransmit the sirius program/signal so I can listen to it through a normal radio at bedside. Taking the sirius receiver out of its cradle and putting it in its boom box and using the portable antenna will not work because of bad signal reception in my bedroom. That's why I went to an external antenna at a central location.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, it's called a FM transmitter good ones are not cheap

The Ramsey FM25B is a great choice and can transmit up to 1/8 mile.

Just hope the FCC doesn't come down on them

Here is a basic guide to the FCC rules for the FM25A

The FM25B is just the newer model coverd by the same rules.

The FM25B costs $139.95 in kit form, but I have seen places that sell them assembled.

Do you know how SIRIUS works in the car? You plug it in, turn it on, and it converts to an FM signal that your car picks up.

Find out what that FM signal is, make sure the FM modulator in your SIRIUS radio is turned on, and simply lock on to that frequency with your bedroom radio...

There may not be any need to buy anything to strengthen the signal, unless your home stereo is too far from the bedroom radio.

I use a Ramsey FM30 and I love it. I use it with my Starmate Replay and my Ipod. I use it at home and at work. I made a box that it all sits in so it's completely portable. It's a pricey unit though, about $250 assembled.

There are cheaper alternatives, just search around. Like Kryptonite said, you may just need to turn on the built-in FM transmitter of your Sirius unit to get Sirius throughout your house. My Starmate Replay will transmit through most of my apartment just with it's built-in transmitter. You can even make a small antenna that can plug into the FM-Out jack to get better range.

Also you can buy a FM transmitter from http:///www.ccrane.com around $60 included ground shipment. That transmitter easily can be modified for 300 ft + range.
