Default Mounting a Sportster Replay to a Pro-fit VSM mount?

I have an old JVC receiver mounted to a VSM mount in my car right now. I am looking to upgrade to a new Sportster replay with the $50 deal they have right now. Is there any way I can mount it to the VSM without buying any additional pieces? What exactly is in the way on the back of the docking cradle? Would one of these Easy Swivels be enought to solve the problem?

Also, does the Sportster Replay docking cradle have the AMPS hole pattern?

Thanks.

You should be ok. The easy swivel should lift the dock far enough away from the mount so that you can plug the wires in.

It does have the AMPS pattern.

You might be ok without buying anything else. I did not have to buy anything when I used that mount with my Sportster.

So are you saying you installed it with or without the swivel?

thanks.

I installed mine without the swivel. I just had to trim the mount a little bit so I could plug something in to the dock.
