Default Signal problems in CT

I've had Sirius for almost a year now. in Hartford, CT. I had the "acquiring signal" message last April in my car using the Sportster 4. It was resolved after I got a new antenna from Sirius. Now it just started happening again after 7 months of perfect reception. It seems to happen as I near and pass through metropolitan areas. And it now happens near blinking traffic lights. It's almost as if the satellite signals have weakened. I can't believe it could be the antenna again since it has remained stationary for several months.

Any idea what's going on?

This thread was started to talk about issues such as the one you're experencing.

My personal opinion, Sirius is having some major tech problems that it will not admit to. This is going to put them in really big trouble. Their stock is tanking. I don't see them being a major player for much longer.

ive been having the same problem with my sportster that is about 2 years old now. i drive from waterbury to shelton each day and all this week the signal has been in and out and i eventually have to switch back to terrestrial radio to listen to tunes.

extremely frustrating...but hopefully they will get their act in gear soon

Well I confirm the same shit.. My service plain out sucks !!! I pay my fee and would like to listen when "I" turn on the radio and not see "Acquiring Signal"
and I have spent good money on brand new equipment and paid to have installed professonally - The pros say the signal has been falling out for the past 4 months - BOTH satilite and local repeaters.. NOT the RADIOS fault..

So what would you like us to post and say" Bold Face Lie?? " Oh yea, I listen all the time"" (Yea I wish that was true)

Iadd me to the Sirius Bashers list for GOOD REASON !!!

Every once in a while I'll have minor problems in Waterbury, down near the mix-master. Aside from that, service has been flawless for Sirius, in my experiance.

A buddy of mine with XM can't get a signal at all anywhere on Watertown Ave.

I'm in Torrington and am having issues with "acquiring signal" in my car. I can't get a signal at all anymore. I have a Sporster Replay, which is a brand new replacement due to having this same issue a few months ago. I replaced the entire setup in my car - receiver, antenna, etc. Up to the week before last I had no problems at all with a signal then it suddenly died. Not too happy with the service and it takes forever to speak with smeone in warranty. Guess I'll have to try that AGAIN. I may unfortunately have to cancel if they can't get this figured out. I'm paying for the service but not able to get it. NICE.
