Default Antenna question

I just bought a Toyota FJ Cruiser and it came pre-installed with XM. I already have a Sirius S50 and I don't want to activate the XM. Is it possible to swap out just the pre-installed XM receiver for a Sirius one? Would I have to change everything or just the receiver? Can the antenna that was installed for XM be used on a Sirius tuner that I can buy? I am figuring that if I can use the antenna then all I would have to do is change the tuner which is in the back of the truck somewhere.

you will want to visit TSS and take a look at the Vais Tech OEM Sirius integration adapter, expensive, but it is the only way that i know of currently a Toyota owner can convert his XM Ready, pre-wired vehicle into a Sirius one:

your current OEM roof-mount antenna can be adapted to the Sirius Direct Tuner.

Default Another antenna question

I installed the new 2006 OEM unit in my 2006 Frontier and used the supplied "on the windshield" antenna located in the cab above the rear view mirror. I keep getting "no signal", is there known problem with this antenna? I double and triple checked all my wiring and the signal keeps dropping out. I spent a lot of money for the OEM tuner and expect it to work correctly. I can get a clear signal with my Sportser and its antenna laid on the ground next to my truck but no signal from my truck system. I drive down the street with clear views of the sky and it just drops in and out.

Any ideas or help on this issue???

Thanks!!
