Post Upcoming Grand Caravan install

Got pops a Sirius one for chrismtas [shhh, he don't know]. I'm wondering how much those stock antennas cost. Maybe later down the road if it's too much, and make sure he actually wants to keep it after his 6 months prepaid is up. Anyone got a link andy?

Is the stock antenna for the home or van?

For the van. I figure I'll just use the Sirius one to make sure he likes it. If he continues in 6 months I'll look at a stock Chrysler antenna.

But I'm wanting to wire it up to come on with the radio. Is there a blue wire in the back of the head on these? I could splice into that and a ground, add a cigeratte lighter adaptor behind the radio, and plug it in there. But there has to be a blue one.
I'm actually wanting the blue/white one, for antenna. That way when listening to a CD it will power down.

The only thing I don't like about it is that I have the cigeratte lighter plug coming out from the dash and plugging in. I bought a unit to hide behind the dash, but I haven't figured out which wires to tap into yet. The van has a key-operated lighter that runs with the RAP [or w/e Chrysler calls it], but it has 3 wires, pos, neg, and something else. And of course, they simply can't be red and black. I need a wiring diagram.

Hmmm....could've done better on the install. That receiver is going to be more of a nuisance while driving as it's in plain sight of the driver. I'd be annoyed. Plus cops would think it's a radar detector. I'd move it to the dash or center console.

Also, the antenna wire going underneath the gasket.....I can't really tell by the pics but did you at least put a slit in the gasket for the wire to go through, so the gasket can rest back in it's normal position? The gasket isn't even sitting right. If you just have it running underneath the gasket that wire will be severed in no time. Fix those 2 things and you'll be set. I'd also put some sort of wire cover around the exposed wire that runs from the gasket to the roof and secure it with a zip tie around the trunk shock.

I was kinda in a hurry to get it installed, only had about an hour while he was at the store to get it all done.
As for the location, it's not really in the way. It seems so from the pictures, but Caravan's windshields are like aquariums....they're HUGE!! He still has plenty of room, and from the time I test drove it didn't seem to bother me. If he has a gripe about it, I'll move it for him.
Plus, radar detectors are legal in Kansas.
As for the wire, that gasket lump you see in the picture was there already. It's kinda warped and won't sit right, so there was already a tiny hole that I ran the wire through. Kinda handy...the only way to fix it I guess would be replace the whole thing.
AND, the wire is in no danger. I checked, rechecked, and checked again. The only thing that happens to it during open/close of the liftgate is being squeezed between the gasket and door. But I do plan on taping it down so as to not move by the hinge and get pinched.
